As a writer director, he made his films a medium to bring changes in society's perceptions of gender equality and LGBTTI plus community. Taking his work seriously, he was selected for the Global Leadership Network of emerging policy-makers of the British Council Future Leaders Connect program. Kajri is one of four Indians selected for a 10-day program at Cambridge University. She is also the daughter of producer Kishan Babbar and niece of actor-politician Raj Babbar. He did his post graduation in film direction from Arts University, Bournemouth, UK and has produced documentaries aimed at starting a debate on important social issues. Some of these films have been screened at 'Student Oscar' and The Cannes Film Festival. While studying film direction in the UK, Kajri wrote and directed the first short film 'Parda', which was selected in the semifinals of The Student Academy Awards 2017. His second short film 'Khoj' is on the issue of NRI (non-resident Indian) husbands leaving their wives in North India. The film was screened at Shores Corner of the Cannes Film Festival 2018 and was a semifinalist at The Student Academy Awards 2018.
